If you are a paid user, you can record a Zoom meeting on iPhone or Android devices with ease. And those recordings will be automatically saved in the cloud instead of a local folder.
If you share your screen without the active speaker thumbnail or disabled the Record thumbnails while sharing option in your cloud recording settings, the recording will only display the shared screen.
To enable this option:
- Open the Zoom client and click Settings.
- Click the Recording tab.
- Enable Record a seperate audio file for each participant.
- Record and save the meeting to your computer.
- Once the meeting is over and the recording has processed, open the recording folder.
- Within the folder, open Audio Record.
Find the cloud recording you want to share, download or delete.
- To share: Click Share. In the Share this cloud recording pop-up window, adjust your sharing settings as desired.
- To download: Click More. Select download.
- To delete: Click More. Select Delete.
By default, only the host can initiate a Local Recording. If another participant would like to record, the host will need to provide permission to that participant during the meeting.

Screencast on a Chromebook (video) If you slide the switch on the left side of the capture tool bar to the video setting, you can record the activity on your screen. The same three capture icons will be available. You can capture your entire screen, a portion of your screen, or a specific window or app.

How to record the screen on a Chromebook
- Tap the time in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Screen capture in the Quick Settings toggles.
- Tap the camera toggle on the left-hand side of the Screen capture bar.
- If you want to record your microphone, tap the settings gear on the right side of the bar.
For capturing a screenshot, type Ctrl + F5 on a standard keyboard. For a partial capture, press Ctrl + Shift first, followed by F5. You can customize the shortcut, too.
You can easily record or import videos from multiple devices with your Chromebook video editor. First, choose a recording or video to edit. To edit, click on 'Edit Video. ' You'll notice a bunch of editing tools at the bottom of your editor.
Open the client and start or join a meeting. In the top right corner, click Gallery View. If the meeting has 49 or fewer people, all participants will be displayed on a single page. If there are more than 49 people, they will be displayed on other pages.

On Chromebook, you can't access the Recording feature with a free account, which means you'll have to upgrade to a paid account to get the option. That said, even with a paid account, you're only limited to a cloud recording.
Other users managed to fix their Zoom issues by installing the latest ChromeOS updates and reinstalling Zoom. Go to Settings, select About Chrome and click on Check for updates. Uninstall your Zoom app, and restart your Chromebook. Then install Zoom again and check if the connection issues are gone.
