Click the first file or folder you want to select. Hold down the Shift key, select the last file or folder, and then let go of the Shift key. Now hold down the Ctrl key and click any other file(s) or folder(s) you would like to add to those already selected.

Lightroom CC stores your entire library in one place. On the Mac it's in a package file, which is a folder that looks and acts like a file (within your Pictures folder); under Windows it's a folder buried a few layers deep (specifically, UsernameAppDataLocalAdobeLightroom CC).To select multiple photos that are not adjacent to one another, hold down the Command key as you click each photo. To select all the photos in a group, such as an Event, press Command-A or choose Edit > Select All.

Batch-applying presets using Lightroom
- First, in Lightroom, go into the Library module by pressing G (for Grid view).
- Then, highlight the photos you want to work with.
- Next, head over to the Quick Develop panel on the right and select the preset you want to apply from the “Saved Preset” section.
Go to the Develop Preset panel (on the left side) and click the Create New Preset icon (the plus sign at the top, to the right of the word “Presets”). This brings up the New Develop Preset window. Give the Preset a name and select a folder to save it in (User Presets is a good one).
Once you have your photo inside of Lightroom, head into the develop module. The graduated filter tool is inside the toolbox at the top of the right-hand sidebar. Once you click on the tool, you'll see a panel similar to the “Basic” options, with sliders for color temperature, exposure, and more.

- Open Lightroom.
- Go to: Edit • Preferences • Presets.
- Click on the box titled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder.
- Double click on Lightroom.
- Double click on Develop Presets.
- Copy the folder(s) of your presets into the Develop Presets folder.
- Restart Lightroom.
First, select a group of photos and then hit the “Auto Sync” button to apply the settings across the whole group of images. Auto Sync can be found below the panels on the right of Lightroom. To enable Auto Sync, flip the switch next to the “Sync” button.
Often you'll have two or more similar photos you'd like to compare, side by side. Lightroom features a Compare view for exactly this purpose. Choose Edit > Select None. Click the Compare View button (circled in Figure 12) on the toolbar, choose View > Compare, or press C on your keyboard.
In Lightroom, go to File > Plug-in Extras > Import from iPhoto Library. Select the location of your iPhoto library and choose a new location for your images. Click the Options button if you want to change any settings prior to migration. Click the Import button to start the migration.
Deleting Photos
You can select a single image, or multiple. To select multiple images, hold control [cmd on a Mac] – and click as many photos as you want to select. You'll notice that it highlights multiple photos. We can also select one photo, hold shift, and click another image to select all images in between.To start editing your photo, go to Lightroom's Develop tab. Once you've made some edits, you can turn on the comparison feature by clicking the YY button underneath the photo. The first time you click it, you'll see two photos side by side: your original photo on the left and the edited version on the right.
Do one of the following:
- Click a layer in the Layers panel.
- To select multiple contiguous layers, click the first layer and then Shift-click the last layer.
- To select multiple noncontiguous layers, Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (Mac OS) them in the Layers panel.
To select everything in the current folder, press Ctrl-A. To select a contiguous block of files, click the first file in the block. Then hold down the Shift key as you click the last file in the block.
