Allow an hour or so for a steady stroll with plenty of time to stop and observe the old radar station and WWII ruins along the way. Tucked away at the end of Selwyn Pine Rd is the entrance to Palm Glen, a green parrot haven and if you'd like the see one this is usually your best chance.

Norfolk Island is an external Australian territory in the Pacific Ocean about 1600 km northeast of Sydney. Norfolk Island is one of Australia's most isolated communities and one of its oldest territories, having been settled six weeks after Australia's founding settlement at Sydney, New South Wales.
Norfolk Island Inshore Fishery Management Area. Fishing is undertaken from the shore or from boats lowered to the water by crane. There are two jetties, each with a crane system located at different places on the island. The prevailing winds dictate which jetty is used.

A year later, King was able to report that the island's gardens were producing – bananas, orange trees, sugar cane, rice, wheat and barley, pumpkins, potatoes, turnips, artichokes, lettuce, onions, leeks, celery and parsley. Farming on Norfolk Island was not easy, however.

Experience natural Norfolk Island on the walking tracks of Norfolk Island National Park. Tracks wind through lush palm forests and stands of Norfolk Island Pine. Some lead visitors to remarkable views of the island and the surrounding ocean. All of the tracks offer a unique walking experience.
Earlier, we walked along the edge of the Sheringham cliff top and discovered that this part of Norfolk is far from flat. It was here we found out that the hilly, undulating landscape was formed by the Anglian Glaciation.

Norfolk has over 170km of road and most are tar sealed. Driving is on the left hand side of the road and locals wave to all passing vehicles which is called the "Norfolk Wave." many visitors to the island spend there holiday learning new waving techniques.
Our unspoiled island has no public transport system, but a local Uber is available upon request.
