The cheaper phone had the same great camera as the more expensive Pixel 3, and the same great Google-Android build with a three-year update plan. While the phone is no longer for sale, the Pixel 3a will still, of course, get software updates. The end-of-life for software support is scheduled for May 2022.
The report boils down to two numbers: less than 1 million Pixel 5 units, and a modest 3 million units total across the three main phone models this year: Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), and Pixel 5.

So far, the leaks are still few and far between, but we did just hear the Pixel 5 might not be as big of an upgrade as many expect. Honestly, you should probably wait for the Pixel 4a in April or May. If you want the best of what Google has to offer, wait for the Pixel 5 in October of 2020.
