Final Fantasy XIV has just generously widened the net in regards to its definition of a "free trial". Anyone tempted to dive into the Final Fantasy MMORPG and see what all the fuss is about can now enjoy a huge chunk of it, free of charge.
Depending on how busy the server is this can be anything from a few minutes per day, to almost always. In the past (before the introduction of the "Congested" status) there was a long period of time when Balmung was only open for character creation for a few minutes after a maintenance.

The FFXI PC servers are still up, and there's still monthly subscription fees. But when SE improved FFXIV a lot of FFXI players switched over. FFXI shut down its console servers on March 31st this year.
In order to leave a Free Company players must go to the Free Company window from the Social Lists in the Main Menu and from the Info tab select the 'Leave Company' button located at the bottom.
You cannot transfer any characters to Congested servers.
The Phial of Fantasia grants you a single opportunity to edit your appearance* in the character creation screen upon your next login. The features you may change are race, gender, appearance, date of birth, and guardian. Please note that you may purchase every quantity of phials multiple times.

To save you some time with transferring your settings and UI over, there's an application in the game folder called "ffxivconfig.exe", run it on your current computer and select "Backup", then save the created file "FFXIVconf.
Usually its within a few minutes but i've heard of instances where it can take 24 hours. If you haven't seen it after 24 hours I'd contact customer support. if the mailbox is full as they were delivering it could take up to 24 hours.

The housing system is a game feature in Final Fantasy XIV. It allows players to acquire a private estate to share with members of their free company. Patch 2.38 later allowed estates to be obtained by individuals. Starting with Patch 3.4, apartment complexes were added in each ward.
Apartments: A small, single-floor room that costs 500,000 gil. You need to have one class at level 50 and be a second lieutenant in your grand company to purchase one. You can buy an apartment as well as a house and they're so numerous your basically guaranteed to find an available one.

The player can apply to found a Free Company after they have reached level 25 and joined a Grand Company. In order to start a Free Company, players must talk to the Free Company administrator and select the "Found a Free Company" option. The player then gets to choose the preferred name and tag for the FC.
Devaluation TimerThe price of a plot of land is set to be reduced by 0.42% every six hours, a maximum of 120 times. Over the course of 30 days, the price will fall to half its starting price.
How to Create a Free Company
- Get a Petition: From the administrator of your Grand Company in its main city.
- Choose a name for the Free Company: From 3 to 20 characters.
- Choose a tag for the Free Company: This is what will be displayed along your character name.
- Get 3 players to sign your petition.
You can go to your contacts and add them after that. Make PF group for your friend to join and run a really easy guildhest. After, your friend will be in the Social -> Contacts menu history. Right click their name and add!
This service takes up to 24 hours to complete. If you log in before it completes, the transfer may fail and your character may be locked.
It is possible to play with the same account on the Windows®, PlayStation®3, and PlayStation®4 platforms. Similarly, customers who own a copy of FFXIV for the PlayStation®3 or PlayStation®4 and wish to use their account on the Windows® version will need to purchase a copy of the Windows® version.
Races, statwise, don't matter. The amount of stats you get from your race is hidden away behind the stats on your gear which are that much more massive. The extra, maybe 3-5 points won't matter when your gear has a few thousands of that amount.
Preferred World: Relatively sparsely populated World with room to spare. Players who transfer to or create new characters on these Worlds will receive special bonuses.
Legacy servers are servers that have players from 1.0 and have a more established playerbase for the most part. While non-legacy servers are servers that were created when 2.0 (A Realm Reborn) was released. Legacy characters (FFXIV 1.0) are not permitted on non-legacy servers as of today (Sept. 23rd).
To delete the character Right click your character's name on the character selection screen and then Click delete. Then Click okay to confirm and then done.
