There's a new firmware update for Onyx!
- Launch the Orion app on your phone, and connect your Onyx.
- In the Orion app, tap on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen, and select “Settings”.
- Tap “Onyx”. The screen should display your Onyx. If a firmware update is available, you should see a yellow “Update Onyx” button.

Two HK Onyx Studio 4 speakers can be paired for party mode and stereo mode playback when paired using the HK Connect app. You have to rsync the two Onyx 4 speakers together 1 to 2 times per day.
Connecting Onyx Studio 3 and Charge 3 using Wireless Dual Sound and JBL Connect feature will not work on both speaker system. On the other hand, if you will be using a Y converter auxiliary cable, you can connect this 2 speaker on your phone via wired.
How to Hook Up Harman/Kardon Speakers
- Place the speakers on either side of your computer.
- Connect one end of the audio cable into the "Headphone" jack on your computer, often identified by a headphone icon.
- Insert the other end of the cable into the "Input" cable on the rear of your subwoofer.
Reset the Onyx studio by holding down the bluetooth symbol and the + until it turns off. On your IPad, go to bluetooth and forget the onyx studio. Turn on the onyx studio and have the Ipad search for the onyx studio and select. That worked for me and I hope it helps you!
Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the ONYX STUDIO 3 that is paired with your device for at least 7-10 seconds or until you see the bluetooth button blink initiating wireless dual pairing mode.
The difference between Harman Kardon Onyx 5 and 6 is that Onyx Studio 5 is not water-resistant, whereas, Onyx Studio 6 comes with an IPX7 Certificate, which makes the product able of being submerged into water of around 1feet for up to 30 minutes.

You either have a short or an impedance problem. First check to make sure that all of your speakers are properly connected (positives, negatives; not touching each other). Often people make a mistake and leave too much exposed bare wire which can touch and short out. Your amp is going into the protect mode.
