Macbeth begins as a 'good' man, a very good man – loyal, responsible and honourable. During the course of the action he becomes evil, influenced by the witches who are agents of the power of evil. He is led on by their suggestion that he is destined to become king. The saintly Duncan is associated with good.
The wife of the play's tragic hero, Macbeth (a Scottish nobleman), Lady Macbeth goads her husband into committing regicide, after which she becomes queen of Scotland. She dies off-stage in the last act, an apparent suicide.
Unlike Macbeth, who deliberates over whether or not to kill Duncan and who wrestles with loyalty to his king, Lady Macbeth is single-minded in her lust for power. She has no loyalty to any cause beyond her own ambition, and is willing to manipulate her husband to achieve what she wants.
The values which the Macbeth order reverses are of four kinds: natural, sexual, moral and spiritual. Of these perhaps the most obvious and most macabre is the real or apparent violation of the course of Nature: “Tis unnatural”, says the Old Man of the eclipse of light, “Even like the deed that's done”.
Lady Macbeth committed suicide because she couldn't overcome her feelings of guilt due to her evil manipulations and the outcome of those manipulations (her husband's actions). The line "fair is foul and foul is fair" comes from William Shakespeare's Macbeth. In Macbeth, Macbeth and his wife plot to kill the king. Shakespeare uses three witches in the play as a type of chorus to foretell Macbeth's demise.
The three predictions of the witches in Macbeth are 1) that Macbeth will become Thane of Cawdor, 2) that Macbeth will become king, and 3) that though Banquo never be king, his descendants will become kings.
