The Earth contains five major wind zones: polar easterlies, westerlies, horse latitudes, trade winds, and the doldrums.
Short bursts of high speed wind are termed gusts. Strong winds of intermediate duration (around one minute) are termed squalls. Long-duration winds have various names associated with their average strength, such as breeze, gale, storm, and hurricane.
Denna is the primary female figure in The Name of the Wind; she is arguably the main romantic interest of Kvothe, who holds an irresistible fascination with her.
Earth's RotationThe rotation of Earth on its axis causes winds to shift direction, creating what are called the prevailing winds. This wind shift, known as the Coriolis effect, causes winds in the Northern Hemisphere to shift to the right and winds in the Southern Hemisphere to shift to the left.
Because of this, chinook winds are often known as the "snow eaters." An extreme example of a Chinook wind was recorded in South Dakota in January 1943, according to Black Hills Weather.
On its passage over the Sahara, the harmattan picks up fine dust and sand particles (between 0.5 and 10 microns). It is also known as the "Doctor wind", because of its invigorating dryness compared with humid tropical air.

That said, what about Kvothe? The word “quoth” is the simple past tense of “quethe,” which means “said.” To say. To speak.
If you are a fan of the genre, it's one of the must-reads imo. I personally enjoyed the series a lot, but we're all still waiting on heart of stone (book 3) and nothing yet. That being said, the series really embodies the fantasy genre in my opinion, so I do recommend. His prose is amazing and his story is fun.
This is about where Kvothe is at the Inn. This could be quite similar to the situation the Chandrian are in, which might also make Bast make sense as a Chandrian who has decided to follow Kvothe's path, whatever that may be. There is some power in the stories people tell, which is where the series seems to be headed.
Who wrote name of the wind?
The Chandrian are a group of seven beings known in myth and folklore throughout Temerant. They are alternatively known as the Seven, the Rhinta, and the Nameless.
Prevailing Westerlies is the global wind that has the most effect on the weather in the US. In the mid-latitudes, between 30∘ and 60∘ north and south winds are turned towards the East due to the Coriolis Effect. Because they blow from West to East, they are called the Prevailing Westerlies.
Author Patrick Rothfuss' books, starting with The Name of the Wind, was heading to Showtime in 2017 as a planned fantasy drama with Miranda on board as one of the executive producers. Lionsgate had acquired the rights in 2015 with hopes to develop not just this show, but a movie and videogame, as well.
Who is the main character in the name of the wind?
Denna
Bast
Devan Lochees
Ambrose Jakis
Kvothe
Kvothe is younger, though has lived long enough to have old eyes. Take that as you will. I believe he is supposed to be 30 years old.
When talking to Bast and Chronicler about the Cthaeh, Kvothe heavily implies that he started the war by entering the Fae, stealing a flower to save a Princess, but kills her instead.
Kvothe doesn't have to kill them out in the open, I always thought that if he killed Cinder, it would be much like when his troupe was killed. So I think it's safe to say Kvothe has plenty of ways to kill the Chandrian. However, he's got one book to do this. So I don't think he's going to kill them all.
Bast is Kvothe's student, apprentice, and assistant who lives with him at the Waystone Inn. He is a main character in the frame story.
While it's pretty clear that Kvothe is Meluan's nephew, whether or not that makes him “a Lackless” isn't known. Inheritance rules aren't really set out in either book.
They change color when he gets angry. The main theory is that he is a descendant of Iax of the dark and changing eye and he inherited the trait.
Rothfuss gave two interviews to Tor.com in 2012 and 2017, revealing that The Doors of Stone will conclude the Kingkiller trilogy, but won't be the last work set in that fictional universe.
How old is Patrick Rothfuss?
Auri is a young woman described as appearing a few years older than Kvothe, with blonde hair and a delicate, petite frame. Her hair is long and thin, causing it to float around her head like a halo.
It has three locks, one of iron, one of copper, and one that is unseen.
