Queen Mary I of England: She was the daughter of the infamous King Henry VIII, who sent her away to Wales at the age of 9, where she had health problems and issues with her father.
They were captured by Hindu Jats, who robbed and killed them on 25th of Rabi' al-awwal A.H. 638, which corresponds to October 14, 1240. Thus died, the first and last woman Sultan of Delhi, at the young age of 35.
As the irony of those times would have it, Razia Sultan failed as a ruler because she was a woman and failed as a woman because she was a ruler. As a woman she gave her heart to one of her generals, Altunia but because of her status as a ruler neither he accepted her at first nor did she find it appropriate.

The famous Iron pillar near the Qutub Minar was commissioned by the emperor Kumara Gupta I of the Gupta dynasty (320-540 CE) and transplanted to Delhi during the 10th century. In 1398, Timur Lang invaded India on the pretext that the Muslim sultans of Delhi were too tolerant of their Hindu subjects.
The "Middle" period lasted for about 1500 years and ended in the 13th century, with the rise of the Delhi Sultanate, founded in 1206, and the end of the Later Cholas (Rajendra Chola III, who died in 1279 CE).

Since delhi was ruled by sultans for a longer period of time in history. From the time 1192 AD when the muslim genral Muhammad Ghor captured delhi from rajputs and started a dynasty of rulers which together with some other dynasties later, we call it delhi sultante.
