Should consumers treat personal PayPal accounts like bank accounts? Technically, it's possible: You can apply for a PayPal prepaid card and link it to your PayPal account. From there, you can use the card to withdraw cash, pay bills or transfer money from your PayPal account to use for online and in-store purchases.
We can confirm accounts from most banks and credit unions. Unfortunately, there are some banks that are not compatible with PayPal, including most online only or prepaid bank accounts.
PayPal limits you to adding $500 per day, and a total of $4,000 a month to your PayPal account. If you've reached either of these limits, you won't be able to add cash until the next day or month, when your PayPal limits reset.
1) Leave it as long as you like. If it sits dormant for a few years, we may legally have to send the funds to your state as abandoned property, so just don't go three years or more without logging in at all and you'll be good here. 2) Unclaimed funds are only if you do not accept or deny a payment.
To withdraw money to your bank account:
- Go to Wallet.
- Click Transfer money.
- Click Withdraw from PayPal to your bank account.
- Select where you're transferring the money from, then select the bank account.
- Choose an amount you want to transfer and click Next.
- Review your request and confirm the transfer.
Purchases and PrivacyPaying with your debit card through PayPal is safer than just using your debit card. Merchants (as well as hackers, thieves, and employees) only see your email address—your PayPal username—and some personal information when you use PayPal.
You can add money to your PayPal account without a bank account by using the Green Dot MoneyPak. You'll find this option on the Add Funds page once you log into your PayPal account. For more information check out PayPal/Index.aspx.
