How to Unlock BFA World Quests
- Hit 120.
- Unlock all three footholds as part of the Alliance or Horde War Campaigns.
- Hit Friendly with the 3 major Kul Tiras (if Alliance)/Zandalar (if Horde), in the quest Uniting Kul Tiras/Uniting Zandalar.
Skip war campaign on alts. Will we ever be able to skip the war campaign on alts if it's already been completed on your main? Nope because you get individual character benefits, aka the followers.
To obtain the legendary cloak, you will just have to complete the Patch 8.3 questline, which takes you through the process of unlocking all of the new systems, including Assaults, Visions, and Horrific Visions.
War campaign unlocks following contents:
- open up a path to travel to the other faction zone.
- Unlock Island Expedition.
- Unlock Horde/Alliace Order Hall Upgrades.
- Unlock "Champions of Azeroth" reputation vendor.
- Unlock World Quests.
- Unlock the last Dungeon: Siege of Boralus for Horde, King´s Rest for Alliance.
The war campaign quests in 8.1 provide 2000 reputation for every turn in. (That is without the human bonus.) Partner that with the invasion quests that provide 6 quests, each giving 75 reputation, not including any reputation boosts from WQ's.
Like the Uniting the Isles quest in Legion, you only need to complete the reputation requirements once on your account - Afterward, all you need to do is hit 120 and complete the first steps of the War Campaign to gain access to World Quests on your alts.
Do I have to do the War Campaign on alts? If you want the boat to take you to any of the 3 opposite faction zones, then yes. WQs will be unlocked without the campaign, but the convenience of travel will not.
The first thing you have to do is the Battle of Lorderon Scenario. Once you've done that, you should get a popup to go to Silithus. (Sometimes you'll have to relog to get it to pop up.) After you do the Silithus quest, you'll get a popup to talk to Syvanas, who will send you on a mission to Stormwind.
War Campaign Rewards
- Access to the Mission Table of Battle for Azeroth, as well as 5 Champions by the time you're done with the Campaign;
- Access to the continent of Zandalar;
- Access to the War Effort Advancements, equivalent to the Order Hall Advancements of Legion;
- Access to the 7th Legion Reputation;
You need to get Exalted with the Zandalari Empire. Questing in the zone will give you rep, world quests and missions will also give rep. Complete your war campaign, you'll need to hit Exalted with the Honorbound to complete it. Faction assaults, world quests and missions are all easy rep.

Yep. All you need to do as a Horde player to unlock the Kul'tirans is log out to the Character screen, select create a character and create, level and rep grind on an Alliance toon or you can just faction change a max level Horde toon with all reps exalted to the Alliance and hunt the achievements.
Comment by Boxofbeer. The Battle for Lordaeron is the starting quest of Battle for Azeroth for Alliance Side. As usually, quest adds into the quest log automatically as a character logged into the game. You have to find Captain Angelica at Stormwind Harbor and tell that you're ready to start.
Footholds are places in the opposite faction's continent that you can access from your faction's boat. After the introduction, you can choose your first foothold to go to, and the other 2 will be available at levels 114 and 118.
