Once you've got back from your break and are off the aircraft, leave the terminal building, and head straight to the car park. There are 6 pay stations available, where you can pay by credit or debit card, before you continue to the exit point. Please note, all our pay stations are now cashless.
Our parking deck, located directly adjacent to the terminal, features both hourly and daily parking accommodations. Finally, valet parking services are located curbside on the upper level of the terminal. For further assistance with parking, please contact the Birmingham Airport Authority at 205-599-0730.
PARKING METER RATES: The City of Birmingham has two different rate structures for on street parking at meters: $1.00/hr.and $1.50/hr., based on the location. Meters have 2-hr. limits, 4-hr.
Whilst it is possible to wait at the Airport overnight, we do not offer any specific sleeping areas. The terminal building is open 24 hours a day, but with limited facilities available.
Check-in usually opens:4 hours before long haul flights (flights between 6-12 hours) 2 or 3 hours before short haul flights (flights between 3-6 hours)
The airport is open 24 hours; however, the TSA security checkpoints are only open from 4:30AM until the last flight departure of the day.

Birmingham Airport is directly connected to Birmingham International Station by a free 'Air-Rail Link' system. The air-rail link takes two minutes to get to the station.
Can I cancel my Birmingham Airport parking once I've booked? You can cancel your booking for FREE up to 24 hours before you travel to Birmingham Airport. Cancellations can be made online or over the phone.
This is a self park product so you can take your keys with you. When you get back, return to the car park and your car will be where you left it. Drive to the exit barrier and insert your ticket at the exit barrier. The barrier will then raise.
On-Airport Disabled Parking at Birmingham AirportDisabled passengers are able to park for up to four hours in disabled bays in the short-term car park. There is an 'assist' button at the entrance / exit to the car park should disabled passengers require further assistance.
Charging hours are 8am to 7:30pm, every day except Christmas Day and bank holidays. If you display your Blue Badge, parking is free at pay and display on-street parking bays (with no time limits).

If you are picking someone up from a domestic flight, you will need to go through the airport security checkpoint before meeting that person at the arrival gate. You will not be able to go into the Customs and Immigration hall if you are picking up a passenger who is arriving from another country.
To park in the economy lot at BHM costs $10 per day for parking. That's $1 per hour of airport parking for a maximum of $10 per day. The economy lot is located on Airline Drive near the airport terminal. This is as affordable as it gets for parking on the Birmingham Airport and its airport car parks.
If you're bringing someone to the airport, follow the signs to the terminal, passenger drop off, ticketing (upper) level in front of the terminal. Look for the blue signs at the terminal indicating where the airline ticket counters are located. Many of the airlines have curbside check-in for passengers' convenience.
Non-passengers should only enter the airport where needed. For example, accompanying or picking up a passenger requiring assistance, such as a disabled person or an unaccompanied child. In England, the legal requirements to wear a face covering have been lifted in all settings.
